Jason Dufner will be hoping to win the
2023 Sanderson Farms Championship and end his six-year trophy drought in the process.
What to know about Dufner
The American golfer is a five-time winner on the PGA Tour and has won one major championship, the 2013 PGA Championship in Pittsford, New York, USA.
Dufner was also runner-up in the 2011 PGA Championship, losing a playoff to Keegan Bradley who was crowned champion.
The man nicknamed Duf was ranked in the top 10 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) for 50 weeks; his career-high ranking was sixth in September 2012.

Duf took part in the 2023 Fortinet Championship in Georgia, USA where he finished in the top 20 in what was the most recent event on the 2022/23 PGA Tour schedule.
The Cleveland-born sportsman finished 19th in the Fortinet Championship and he is currently ranked 545th on the OWGR.
Why Dufner could win the Sanderson Farms Championship
Dufner has finished in the top 20 in two of the last three tournaments on the 2022/23 PGA Tour schedule including the 3M Open.
The last time the experienced golfer won a professional event was in 2017 as he clinched the Memorial Tournament and he will be keen to return to winning ways in Jackson.

“We’re all adjusting to it a little bit. It’s nice to have the opportunity to play and try to, you know, sneak back into that 125 category,” Dufner said on Essentially Sports last month.
“I don’t want to say I lucked into it, but I was able to use a career money exemption for this year, and on top of that.
"I got last fall and this fall, so it’s kind of a bonus type of deal for me so I’m trying to take as much advantage of it as I can to continue to be out here in some capacity.”
